How to Design a Business Logo
Whether you are a new business owner looking for the perfect logo for your new brand or a seasoned veteran who just needs a new look for old marketing materials, a well-designed logo is sure to bring your business to the top.
The colors of your logo should match or include a part of your brand’s color scheme. Your logo will be one of the number one ways customers and clients recognize your business among others. You want your logo to fit in with your other marketing materials as well, so cohesive branding is definitely important.
Logos are sometimes used in small formats, so an easy-to-recognize graphic at any size is ideal to use for your logo. You will want your business cards, as well as your large banners to display your logo perfectly for everyone to see.
Some brands don’t use logos at all. As long as great type is displayed in a pleasing way, your logo doesn't necessarily need an image or photo to go along with it.
Keep in mind fonts that speak to your brand. A groovy retro font is probably not appropriate for a government agency, while Times New Roman has no place being anywhere near a paintball field.
No matter what kind of business you own, there is a great logo out there for you. Now that you know the basics, what will your new logo look like?
